WHO WE ARE

Monkedex ("we") operates this website — a non-custodial marketplace for Nodemonkes on Bitcoin. For any privacy request, contact us on telegram: @nodemonkesbot.

WHAT WE COLLECT, AND WHY

We collect the minimum needed to run the marketplace, always with your action as the trigger:

• Bitcoin addresses and message signatures — when you request beta access, your taproot address and its BIP-322 signature prove you control the address (legal basis: consent / our legitimate interest in gating the beta). Bitcoin addresses are pseudonymous public-blockchain identifiers.
• Email addresses and telegram handles — only if you subscribe to alerts (legal basis: consent). They are used solely to deliver the alerts you asked for, stored encrypted at rest, and never sold or shared.
• Trade data — PSBTs and signatures you submit when listing, bidding, or buying, stored encrypted at rest. Completed trades settle on the public Bitcoin blockchain, which we do not control.
• An authentication cookie — mdx-auth holds your address and access signature so you stay signed in. It is essential (no consent banner is required for it), and we set no analytics or tracking cookies of any kind.
• Server logs — standard technical logs (IP address, request path) kept briefly for security and abuse prevention.

WHERE IT LIVES

All data is processed on our own servers in the EU (Hetzner). We use no third-party analytics, advertising, or data brokers. Wallet interactions happen locally in your browser extension — your keys never touch us.

HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

• Alert subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
• Access-request addresses: for the life of the beta program.
• Open orders: until filled or cancelled; the trade ledger of completed sales mirrors what is already public on-chain.
• Server logs: days, not months.

YOUR RIGHTS

Under the GDPR you can access, correct, export, or erase your personal data, and withdraw consent at any time:

• Alerts — unsubscribe in the ALERTS panel (it deletes the stored address/handle immediately), or message us.
• Everything else — contact @nodemonkesbot from the account in question. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

Note: data recorded on the Bitcoin blockchain itself (your transactions) is public and permanent by design; no one, including us, can erase it.
